Ratashooter is a shooter‑style typing game where words fly towards your hero. Your goal is to type them quickly and accurately before they reach you.

Before the game

Choose the hero you want to play — Paco, Cato, Froga, Dragy, Kito and many more are available in the Hero Shop. No real money needed: unlock heroes with Ratacoins, the in-game currency you earn while practising touch typing on Ratatype (typing tutor).

Next, select the language you want to type in. You can practise typing in any supported language.

You can also adjust the sound settings straight away. Play with sound on for full shooter vibes, or turn it off so you don't disturb anyone nearby.

During the game

The typing game starts after the countdown. Get ready — stay focused and type fast.

As words appear, try to type them as quickly as possible. Each shot (every correctly typed letter) gives you +1 point. If you press the wrong key, you get 0 points for that letter.

Type the entire word without mistakes and you'll earn +10 accuracy points. The more perfect words you type in a row, the longer your accuracy streak — and it adds bonus points at the end of the game.

Watch out for bonus words highlighted in yellow. They're slightly longer and more challenging, but each correct letter gives you +4 points, and a perfect bonus word earns +40 points.

In the bottom-left corner, you'll see your blast wave charge. Once it reaches 100 points, you can trigger a mega explosion to destroy all words within the blast radius — press ENTER. No points are awarded for words destroyed by the blast wave.

In the bottom-right corner, you'll find two buttons: Play again and Pause. You can also pause the game using the Esc key.
